Hi,
I think that the British strategy would be to sink the Argy fleet before landfall with nuclear power subs.
All of which are way faster than anything the Arg has to chase them.

Arg has not bought any new planes in years. So its planes are now old and of unknown repair status.
They no longer have a heavy cruiser or aircraft carrier.
Their logistical capability would not allow them to transport troops to the islands in sufficient numbers as to have the same numerical advantage as they had in 1982.
The UK has anti air missile batteries in place.
The UK has 105mm Arty in place.

Actually Mt Pleasant is an all new airport not an extension of the old Port Stanley one.
