Hi Ratel.

In case you´re looking for a challenging and very detailed WW 2 game,
I´d recommend Uncommon Valour or one of it´s successors,
War in the Pacific / Admiral´s Edition. Check out MATRIX for further details.
But this covers naval warfare on a strategical level.

For tactical naval warfare covering the timeframe WW 1 - WW 2,
the HPS Naval Campaign series, particulary HPS Midway, would be my first choice. Best played online in MP mode, as it´s a real - time game.

Salvo by Shrapnel might be a good turn based navel wargame, covers the era of 1700 - 1815, I assume. So far I´ve only played the demo.
