Everything that I've read shows that non coms and Lieutenants, at platoon level, were the movers and shakers when the rubber hits the road. That is true across the history of fighting.

Marshal Ney would be my prime example of a leader who lead from all levels. David would be another.

Getting one platoon to move and fight gets a company to move and fight? It often starts with the one leader who stood up and led the way. :chin:

That -5 leader can show the way to the aid station? ;)
