Removed Thread-regarding saving your customizations

I can understand the thread being removed at the original poster's request but, to also remove it as you don't believe the work-round' would work, quote -
''and also I still have doubts that the method would do what was posted.'' along with ''Any questions please contact me off line. ''
is a bit draconian?
The guy was trying to help the community and, I feel a better way would have been for you to test the theory out for your own satisfaction and then, if the theory was found to be incorrect, then tackle it in the the thread.
After all, this is meant to be a forum for discussion?
