Server PBEM can also be use to help prevent piracy as it can be configure to allow only the registered owner to play PBEM

Gamers that use multiple illegal copies will not able to play PBEM at all

This has been used in Slitherine Battle Academy and Field of Glory

This sort of DRM is good as it prevent those "heartless pirates" and at same time do not create problem for the legal owners
