I am considering buying this Glanz volume and firing up Smolensk '41 to have a good map handy while I slog through it.

How are the oobs in this volume?

It just got released a few weeks ago. Glantz usually has a good list of units for both sides. Although I'm not impressed with most of the maps he puts in his books. It's my Christmas gift so I'm not allowed to look at it yet. Christmas can't get here fast enough :rolleyes:

I got it a few weeks ago & it looks pretty impressive. I agree that the maps are not the greatest. From what I've read this is volume 1 of a planned 4 volume set (full colour maps are supposed to be in the concluding book if I remember correctly). I just hope that it doesn't end up like Black Cross/Red Star. That series died after volume 3...
