Turn Saves Counter: Blessing or Curse?

I found it sad to be playing late in a scene that required at most 10 minutes to make a move when the opponent made 4 saves on a turn where I lost 3 platoons of IS2's. (Don't worry, not a recent opponent on the ladder).
