Any map board can be created, hex, grid or other wise. Any existing counters can be imported also. Plus, the feature that won me over, is that is has a true LOS feature. It basically works using four layers and you edit (easily) the map board layer. When you play you never see the edits and get a clear indication of what your unit or counter can see. I'm using it for FNG, but games like Advanced Squad Leader or any tactical games, it would be nice to help with LOS issues.

The VASL board series 5.0 support an LOS tool in VASL ASL.
