THE FRENCH FIRE ON THE U.S.
PORT-LYAUTEY, MOROCCO 10 November 1942
The jump off phase of Operation Torch included
amphibious landing along the Atlantic coast of Africa.
Primary objectives was this French air Base. Here at
Port-Lyautey on the Sebou River, the river runs along
three sides of the base gave it a good defensive
position for the French army.
