XP2 does not alter the stock scenarios in any way, including the OOB - it has its own OOB, map and pdt files for use with its scenarios. The art with it is optional and as Foul stated will overwrite original or VM art - there is a download for just the scenario related files, no art, for those that don't want to use the art that comes with it.
