I think I have brought up enough examples and details how throwing away the status of the map and the units on it, affects the capability to model different phases of a battle or the development of a battle.

I know the campaigns and I know the toolbox and it is beyond me how someone can claim that it was there or that it was possible or achieve similar results. I also do not understand, how you can believe to make better campaigns or a better use of the available tools, than the best designers, although you have not done a single campaign.

If after all the facts and arguments exchanged here, you believe the current CMx2-campaign system can achieve what is missed from CMx1-campaigns, then so be it.
Until I can get my hands on a campaign that delivers what you claim, I trust on what I have played and know about the system.
