WIN7 Snipping tool is all you need to take a screen shot. It allows you to choose exactly the area you want. No muss no fuss.

Any of MS office products, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are easy and simple to use for drawing the basic lines, arrows and stars used on must AARs.

YouTube narrated AARs are where one really can show off.
