I run both winSPWW2 and winSPMBT on Win7 without any problems, full screen.
I am not a tech specialist, maybe some of the other guys an help, however, one thing I can suggest is to install it on C: as a new folder, not within Program Files. I remember having to do something like that myself at the beginning. If that does not work, then try to run the game via the Game Options file instead of the Exe file.
Maybe I am talking cr@p but it is around midnight on my side and I just got back from a work party where we had no shortage of wine and whiskey. LOL
