Based on your post on the AI, I strongly suggest you play a series of small and medium games before jumping into the huge ones. Human players use VERY different tactics than the AI and, perhaps, from you. There is nothing worse than playing a huge, long game with many units to move, and finding out after 40 turns that your tactical approach to the game needs refinement. Most players require experience with human opponents before being able to play the longer scenarios successfully.

Everyone is different (I was totally destroyed by a first time play by email player over a decade ago in the battle of Aspern Essling), but most people benefit from playing some smaller battles first.

Gumbinen, Staluponen, and the scenarios covering the smaller parts of Tannenberg and Lodz.
