Trying to save an edited scenario

I must be missing something basic here - I open PCEDIT - Open a scenario to edit - make a change (in this case lengthen a scenario from 20 to 25 turns) and save it as another scenario name. I can't find the file. However when I open PCEDIT I can see the saved file, but is has a "padlock" on it. I can open it with PCEDIT - but the main program doesn't see it.
