Hi Gil,

I think it depends on the version of the game your playing. In version 2.02 (the latest) Bridge Engineers can build medium or light bridges across a hex side even the one that was just blown. Regular engineers can only build light bridges where only infantry and real light vehicles can cross.

In earlier versions of the game like 1.04 or 1.03 I don't believe engineers can build bridges but don't quote me on that, I've been playing version 2.02 for quite a while and don't remember to much of the capabilities in earlier versions.

If anyone else has some thoughts on this question please chime in.
