I'm assuming you have moved this unit onto the map and post the patch the lake has appeared? I don't remember changing any of the terrain there, just adjusting the reinforcement hexes. There were some subtle map changes due to us using the Minsk map rather than the original Smolensk map. Minsk was much more detailed.

My only suggestion is to reinstall your original build pre-patch, open your save game, move the HQ and then apply the patch that will correct the map accordingly.
