I'm a recent purchaser of Campaign Waterloo and have just been looking at the included Waterloo scenarios. One of variants - 038.Waterloo_v1.scn - Napoleon attacks earlier says the following:
The Battle of Waterloo "Napoleon Attacks Earlier" - June 18,
1815 - (Large scenario) - This scenario assumes the rain on June
17th wasn't nearly as heavy, the ground has dried quickly and
Napoleon may begin his attack when he originally wished to. This
also will speed the arrival of Prussian reinforcements. Both
armies begin nearly equal in numbers with just under 70,000 troops.
Based on the text in bold, I was expecting this variant to use a different PDT file. However, it uses the same one as the other Waterloo scenarios - "waterloo_single_new.pdt" which means the base weather parameters are exactly the same as the historical one.
Are there any sort of weather parameters included in the scenario file itself? I haven't come across anything but this is all relatively new to me.
Thanks in anticipation,
Andy
Hi Andy:
No they won't be anywhere else -and doing a quick review I see what you mean. It does appear to be exactly the same data -as I probably owe them an email anyways ... I will send this over to the support area; for all I know they might have caught it already (haven't heard though ...). It is looking like a good catch.
