Question about 4.0 patch

Thought I would look in and comment.

We will be doing a full review and revision of Squad Battles. We have done the minimum to get across to the 4.00 builds and I noticed right at the end there was some missing vehicle graphics. I will be addressing those soon.

With 100 titles to convert, this is the series we felt we had to do more with and had less time. Hence the decision to delay any proper upgrades till after the WDS launch.

I had never really looked at these titles until I started preparing the builds and there is so much potential - it just needs some concerted effort.

There are also a heap of things that can be easily fixed in areas such as graphics - for example why have images of vehicles for both sides all pointing in the same direction?

We have a lot of art assets (see Panzer Campaigns and Panzer Battles) that could translate across immediately, but we have a few ideas on how to distinguish Squad Battles from those series. More on that as we start to work on them.

I also plan to talk to you all via the forum here to check areas that may need focus. Xerxes77 has already volunteered to provide guidance and assistance and that will always be welcomed and appreciated. So expect us to share what we are doing and to look for your commentary and feedback. We may not be able to fix everything, but we will do our best to improve the series.

Finally, we have spent the time (and money!) to get control of the Tiller catalogue as we believe these are fantastic simulations with the potential to be played by a wider audience and we are as passionate about the games as you are.
