The mobilization continues, the railroads are loaded with both infantry and armored units being transported towards the nascent Karsruhe salient.

Infantry and artillery are being positioned near Saarbrucken, with the hope that the Germans will be forced to weaken their defense there, to cover the gap to the south.  Engineering units were positioned to aid a possible crossing of the Saar there.

The enemy remained in positions all along the line and concentrated their airstrikes to the front generally southwest of Karlsruhe all the way to Mulhouse.
