I've added an alternate folder to my mod (link above) based on Sean's excellent idea at the Blitz here:

This adds 3D chits to the Grenada demo. It's work in progress as always. You must enable the main mod first before the 3D unit alternate folder.

I also did a quick test for AOTR which has 3D units but I wanted to check it out. I used NATO symbols for the vehicles on this one. Works O.K.
