Glad you guys like the thread.

To the points made by some of the folks here, I'd like to say that alcohol (like most other things) should only be used in moderation - this thread and the poll are not a glorification of excess. And I know whereof I speak. Partially as a result of being genetically susceptible to alcoholism, in my younger years I was probably an actual alcoholic though at the time of course I would have said not. It really ruined a large portion of my life and I've taken years of hard work to recover, and still will not ever be where I would have been had I not wasted my time with booze and partying.

Nevertheless, I do occasionally enjoy a cold beer or a bourbon and coke. Moderation in all things. And if I can ever do anything to spare others the learning curve I went through, I do it.

I like my beer in a frozen mug, one so cold the beer gets a skim of ice on it when first poured. But that's just me.
