RE: New unit in Rising Sun-Elephants
We need these in the Vietnam game, Mike. Elephants were used by the Viet Minh and later the VC/NVA.

RE: New unit in Rising Sun-Elephants
Okay, they have a speed of 6kph, but in-game, overland is one hex per turn, two on road. I hate to make them faster, because they are not that fast, leave them?

RE: New unit in Rising Sun-Elephants
Awesome work as usual Warhorse!
I've been playing a lot of Age of Empires III lately (India), so this mod was like deja-vu to me.
All kidding aside, this could be a useful and interesting transport unit for some asian nations. I have already used the donkeys and camels in Rod's "Ende Gorge" scenario, and thought they were really neat.
I assume they can double-time? I see the double time icon, but didn't want to assume anything. Although some folks think they should transport only, I don't see anything wrong with the idea of a soldier on the back firing a rifle - a low attack factor unit with some range. Wouldn't be unbalancing, and not unrealistic.
But again, nice work.
Thus, what is of supreme importance in war is to attack the enemy's strategy.
