RE: Bolt out of the Blue 4.6.1
Ok these are my questions:

-Where do helicopters resupply?

-What's the meaning of the red question marks and the blue rockets that appear in the map?

Thanks

IIRC helo's need to land and be near their HQ to re-supply.
The Red ? are deception units. If you move in T mode within a certain distance of them you have a pretty good chance of disruption. If you find them try to remember where they are as they generally don't move. Then you can try to find routes that avoid them. Be aware there are potentially a LOT of these and as NATO they will slow down you \r reinforcements speeding to the front.
I don't know what the rockets are. Are you sure they aren't SAM units?

The rockets are Sam emplacements that have an actual range which uses the Sam interception % in the .pdt file so it is worth capturing because it will eliminate the .pdt percentage for SAM interception and that area will be easier to use airstrikes in, also the WP sam umbrella only reaches so far into West Germany so the deeper the WP penetrates the easier it is for NATO to use airstrikes.

RE: Bolt out of the Blue 4.6.1
Hi,

First of all, this scen is very very cool. I'm on turn 57 against human opponent and the pleasure is still here even if I need 4 hours to play the turn with NATO.

Just two questions.

1 - I see on the Param Data that Warsaw Pact and Nato have the same score in Recovery Unit (3 value).

Is it a will of the conceptor ?

2 - I always think that 101st Airborne will fight on Helos (like in Irak in 1991 if I don't say errors). Why do you put them on trucks ?

Regards

1. The 3 is only part of the recovery, there is a replacement value in the oob also, the number in bold below is a replacement value, the WP has a replacement value of 0 because they favored pulling a division from the line and moving in a fresh division but in NATOs case you will notice varying replacement numbers depending on unit type and equipment, if they had high end equipment that didnt have many spare vehicles the number will be low but if they had lets say Chieftains or M60A3 the number will be higher.

2. I used more realistic and in alot of cases actual deployment times and in the case of the 101st they could have deployed anywhere in the world pretty quick without there 300+ helos. To many helos for airlift during a global war like this, would have had to ship by sea which would have made deployment to Europe in 10-30 days. More towards the 30 though

Do you mean you can't find it in the scenario list or that it is there but doesn't load?
It's a BIG scenario and takes a while for it to load.

RE: Bolt out of the Blue 4.6.1
Hello,

I started playing DANUBE 85 in August 2010. Someone at Wargamer recommended I get this Mod.

I have 2 games of DF85 PBEM in progress and I was wondering if there is some way to get the mod without screwing those games up and starting a new game with the mod to try it out with someone else.

I'm a veteran wargamer (since 73) but kind of new to computer wargames and computers period.

Is there someone who can help me with this?
