RE: PzC/MC/ACW Windows 7 troubles
Well it is good to see we're not alone in this problem. Definately something going on. I'm going to pick out one game (with the no-CD needed patch) and see if that one is fine.

RE: PzC/MC/ACW Windows 7 troubles
Thanks for the info mate, i had no idea that the newer HPS patches allowed you to play without a CD in the drive!
As a tester i have installed ACW Campaign Peninsula and used the latest patch and so far, fingers crossed, its behaving itself and it also runs without the need of the CD so all seems fine with that particular title.
Now to start working my way through the PzC titles i have, i just hope that they patch the MC series soon as i'm enjoying the change of setting from WW2 but its a real ass pain playing in a small window.
Thanks again and maybe see you on the field of battle some time.
Have a good weekend.

Try enabling 'Alternate Scrolling'. This resolved the flashing/refresh issue I had while scrolling in Win7.
Edit: FYI, my install path for this game is C:\Program Files\My Games\HPS Simulations\Fulda Gap '85. I have also installed the latest patch for it.

RE: PzC/MC/ACW Windows 7 troubles
Well i dont know if this will help any of you others with this graphics problem but purely by chance i downloaded the latest Nvidea Beta drivers, 304.79 windows 7 64bit, for use with Deus Ex HR and what do i find but so far (fingers crossed) MC DF '85 has been perfectly fine.....ive only played a couple of turns so far but i cant say i've seen the graphics problem once yet playing on a full screen too!
Maybe its just luck or maybe they fixed something in the latest drivers but thought i'd just let you guys know.
Hope it helps.

Whatever model of pc you buy update everthing ASAP.
They all seem to do this automatically after start, then at preset times with the pre-installed software.
However after the initial round of upgrades go to the manufactures site, find your MODEL, and check for upgrades, you will be surprised to find a raft of enhancements including DRIVERS.

RE: PzC/MC/ACW Windows 7 troubles
Has anyone had an issue with firing?
I select the unit(s) and then ctrl-right click where I want to fire, and it just selects the enemy hex rather than firing on them. It doesnt happen all the time, its about 50/50. Ill have to reselect the units, then ctrl-click to fire again. I never had this problem with Mius43 demo, but I do have this problem with Moscow 42.
All drivers up to date, etc. Windows 7.
Edit: Actually, this is happening in the demo as well now. Going to try and roll back drivers a few versions.

by anyone else? So far there have been no posts here with complaints about your issue.

RE: PzC/MC/ACW Windows 7 troubles
I figured this out, and thought I'd just pass along the fix.
I use an Apple keyboard and they have F13, F14, and F15 keys. To make these keys work in the Windows world, you have to run a program that basically sits in the background intercepting those keypresses. The program I was using was AppleKeys.
Somehow that was causing my CTRL-Right Clicking to not be seen 100%. I quit the program and everything appears to be working fine now.
No idea how, or why this would cause issues, but it did. I can live without those keys until native support is put in Windows (Not likely).
