Hi Zap,
On your keyboard, hit the prntscrn button, over the Backspace button, then, go to the windows button far left on the bottom toolbar, click, in the search field type paint, then click on it when the app appears, then Ctrl-alt-V to paste the shot. Save as, to somewhere you can find it, I usually just make a new folder(it should give you the option)up top right of the menu, then name it something you will remember, and usually if it gives an option, save as a jpeg type.
Seriously, if you like, give me an email shout, and I'll give you my cell number, will talk you through it, my wife has 10 on her computer! I'll try to get you squared away with this if I can!
