RE: The World Cup and the Home Countries....
There must be 10,000 English flags flying in our small town, I always wonder why people do that in their own country? I mean, we are (mainly) all supporting England aren't we??? :soap: ... anyhow, just to annoy the neighbours, yesterday I hung an enormous Spanish Flag outside our window :) did anyone see them play? awesome display... my wife was jumping round the room......... and no broken windows yet.....
Englands turn again today... shame about the USofA

Kudos to Spain! Wow! They really stepped up their play.
USA played timid, IMHO. They got knocked back on their heels and just could not recover?
Union Jack's going up at my house! ;)

RE: The World Cup and the Home Countries....
..for me, the best teams so far (in no particular order) have been...
Argentina
Ivory Coast
Holland
Spain
Czech Republic
England and Germany have been solid but quite nothing special yet, I missed the Italy match so can't comment on them.....Brasil were disappointing after a good start

What an effort today by the Angola goalie! Superb!

Not a rabbid soccer fan . . . except during the WC.
I think if they implemented a penalty box like ice hockey, scoring would go up and the sport would really get interesting fast.
Hurrah!

A perfect header off a corner kick for a GOALLLLL!
Unfortunately, it was off a Trinadad player into his own net. :hissy:

How can your goalkeeper have a fabulous game and you still lose 4-1?
You are Japan and you are playing Brazil.
