Game specific information-Rookie

When I'm in the "fire" mode and a specific artillery piece is highlighted, I am wondering how to determine if this is a "plot" or this piece will immediately fire upon a target?

If the target hex is in your direct line of sight (aka LOS) your arty piece will fire when you pull the trigger. If the target hex is not in your LOS, the indirect fire target symbol will appear on the map.

If you have a question as to whether the target hex is in your arty's LOS, click on the arty piece and toggle the binoculars at menu at the bottom of the screen. All lighted hexes are in your LOS. All dark hexes are not in your LOS.

I had a problem with this earlier when I only wanted to fire immediately at a unit and not a plot.
