Rookie question

When I'm in the "fire" mode and a specific artillery piece is highlighted, I am wondering how to determine if this is a "plot" or this piece will immediately fire upon a target?

If the arty has line of sight to the target it will fire. No LOS and it will plot.
Use the arty dialog to plot fire on targets in LOS.

That's an easy, straight forward solution to my problem.

I'm a little embarrassed by the fact that I didn't realize that, but that's why I'm a beginner (for now).
