Prisoners
Do you lose the points for prisoners if you escort them of the map?
Also why cant you load prisoners into trucks to transport to the rear?

RE: Prisoners
Wouldn't it be nice if you could force them into open land to see if there were any minefields before your troops marched in.
Or is that the bad side of me coming out again....
I'm sure I noticed surrendered men who were left alone being motivated to fight against you again when an enemy CO comes within range.
Anyone else found that or was I seeing things?

RE: Prisoners
In one of the CMBB demo scenarios I had a captured Maxim MG and a ATR team decide they didnt want to be prisoners anymore and opened fire once again. This was after I had ordered them outta the trees into the open so I know for sure they were captured.
I had figured this was because I moved my units away from them and they got out of my "ZOC" or something (shrug). I have not had this occur again since but I also have been making sure I keep the prisoners close to one of my units.

RE: Prisoners
IIRC, prisoners defecting back to their own side is all about proximity to their own troops relative to yours, not necessarily leaving them alone or HQ control. If you just march 'em to the rear of your lines, you shouldn't have a problem with them.

RE: Prisoners
Liberated prisoners should not be able to shot at you. I believe that once a prisoner "escapes," that unit is "unarmed" or "disarmed" for the remainder of the battle.

RE: Prisoners
Correct Nort but you can still 'recapture' your men (see coil's post).
I believe you lose the points if you send them off the map. I always send them to my original set up zone where the canteen is situated :)

RE: Prisoners
In a game today I captured a single soldier. The poor guy put his hands up waving a white flag and a nanosecond later he bought the big one due to my area fire. Do you think I will be reported to Battlefront for contravening the Geneva Convention?

Can I shoot prisoners without a penalty? Are live prisoners more valuable than KIA's. What happens when I leave prisoners behind? Can they rejoin the fight?

No, you will lose the extra points for captured units. Yes, live prisoners give you extra victory points. POW's left behind (or left unguarded) can indeed be liberated or flee (the enemy would have to move other troops near the location of the POW's). They will rejoin the fight (i.e. can be controlled by the player who owned them earlier), but will be unarmed.
