Fast air never enters where you tell it too

Fast air never enters where you tell it too
Ok, I am totally frustrated with assigning fast air entry points. I go into my the bombard menu and assign the jets to come in, lets say top left to bottom right. I then never touch the assignment and when the jets finally come in they come in from my side of the map which means they have a long flight and get knocked down.

Is there some frigging secret to getting those little bastards to come in the way you have assigned them too?

First thing which comes to mind - assign entry and exit point first and after that assign a mission.

What game is it BTW ?

I remember such issue being brought up some time ago, will check tommorow if it was at winWW2 betatesters forum maybe.

I just tested it and the jets came in just fine (from top left and right and bottom left and right, just as ordered...).

Are you sure you're plotting them right?

In MBT, it doesn't really matter in some cases. The stand-off weapons have ranges in the thousands of hexes, so most of the action is off-map. They just show it on the map so you have something to look at. Remember when MBT 4 Win was first released? NO fast moves would sho up at all. You got a yellow bar message and the sound of SAM's lifting off..
Regardless of ranges, you select the entry and exit direction BEFORE you select the plane. I have no problem setting up different vectors for multiple attackers. I don't think it helps any as far as spoofing the AD, but It's fun to watch on the replay.

Your fighter bombers were coming on to our game from multiple directions, not that it stopped me from shooting them all down......so far. Eek

I've noticed that the second time you enter the bombardment menu those entry and exit directions are back to default. I've picked a habit of doing the directions again just before the air comes in, don't know if it's necessary but I've hit myself in the same brickwall with you Chris and noticed that after the habit I've been able to avoid hitting the wall.

There are more, they are in a racetrak pattern out of the range of your rapiers. They are waiting for my arty to do some work. I have 4 launchers spotted, I need to spot the other two, unless I miscounted and you have 4 more. Then there will be some more aluminum lined craters for the grunts to admire.
