Terrain Mods

Im still playing vanilla CM and keep heraing about graphic mods Having little expeience of using mod --what are the best/most popular terrain mods people are using these days? ive got so far as to register with cmmods and am finding the amount of info confusing. any advice for a mod virgin will be appreciated

Its basically all down to personal preference... Ive modded all 3 versions of CM. From small things like having Swastikas on the German flags to changing the background skies, sounds and full terrain.

In CMMODS think what you would like to change and type it into the search. Most have preview pictures available so have alook at it and if you lik it download it then you just extract the .bmp's straight into your .bmp folder. be sure to back up your originals first though as you may not like the look of some of the mods.

As a side note have you been able to register fo the FGM MB yet?

i would recommend Rocketman's series of terrain mods, they do wonders in terms of helping you visualize the terrain.

but they aren't quite as ascetically (sp?) pleasing, mostly due to the high contrast between the different tree and brush bases (but that helps distinguish the difference between them)

or if you're going for a more photo-realistic playing experience, i think gurra and... magua? have some pretty nice mods out there.

and ya you'll find it all at cmmods
