Bovington Museum trip.
After many months of saying i'd visit Bovington Tank Museum again i finally got my butt in gear and went there today.....with my father in tow. Thanks for the lift Dad. ;)

I just started copying the images off the camera to the PC and wanted to show off some of my favs so far.

For those who've never been it's well worth the visit i promise you. And at the moment they are giving away a free Annual Membership to anyone who signs up for the Gift Aid Tax Donation scheme.....bargain. Big Grin

They have big plans to expand the museum in the next few years to an even bigger complex with a larger outdoor display area. It's dead easy to find the museum and has tons of parking spaces available, so for those who can get there it's the best way to spend the day.....well for a tread head like me anyway.

I have loads more pictures to upload to photobucket, although my cursed rechargeable batteries ran out so i'm planning another trip soon, so i may well add more pics if anyones interested in seeing more....like the worlds only complete Sherman DD or maybe the Tiger. Eek

Now to burn out my ISP with a few more uploads.

cheers

Ah....the hours I could spend poring over every detail...that would be one hell of a credit card shopping expedition I'd have to send the wifey on so I could enjoy! But it would be worth every penny.....

Thanks for the pics!

RE: Bovington Museum trip.
I finally appreciate why my Brits had such a hard time spotting Walkures Hetzers....

When compared to the other TD's it's so much smaller in size i now realize the importance of the silhouette value in spotting units.

I was smart enough to leave my credit card at home because i knew i'd go mad in the museums shop afterwards. Big Grin
