TOAW 3 question.
I've just been messing about with the tutorial scenario and looking at the new features and found this. Now it may have always been a part of the game but i don't recognize it, so what do the different coloured circles represent?

Thanks in advance.

RE: TOAW 3 question.
This is a new feature; these are artillery support ranges, the range within which "dug-in" arty will support cooperative units.

RE: TOAW 3 question.
Thats the range(s) of your ranged weapons, aircraft, arty and in modern scens, AA (SAM's). The button cycles thro' range of selected unit, all units (as above), "normal" and "hide all units" for when you want to check out the terrain.
I usually do my turn with "selected unit range" on and then put all unit ranges on for a quick check at the end.
NOTE: I think the range comes up wether your units are in the correct posture (dug in, reserve etc) to support or not so a neat little circle on the map does not mean your units are getting fire support, mearly that the arty unit (say) is in the right place.
Keep asking the questions, and that IS a new feature and yes, i think its a good one.
Cheers

RE: TOAW 3 question.
OK it's a supply question this time, i know supply is moved forwards first by rail then improved road then by secondary roads and that you also get a small supply bonus when your unit is adjacent to it's parent HQ's. Is there any way to see the over all flow of supply to your territories individual hexs, so that i know where is best to pull units back to refit the quickest and spot bottle necks like broken rail.

When i use the show supply button it just shows the supply points then the level of supply immediately around your units but not the rest of the map.

I seem to remember when i played the original TOAW that it showed supply for every where you controlled but for the life of me i can't get TOAW 3 to do it. :conf:

RE: TOAW 3 question.
If you want to see all the supply values like you did in COW, you have to play with "no borders" off; with "no borders" on, to enhance "fog of war", you can only see what's around you. This prevents you from detecting the track of unseen enemy units, by looking at supply levels; with "no borders" off, you can look at your rear area, and see where guerrillas or units which have broken through, must be, because they will have negated your supply level in a few hexes.
