My rant - supply sources
I realize a change was recently made to enemy units on supply sources would become broken and moved back a hex if reinforcements showed up, but I have a serious problem with the gamey tactic in the modern series of someone flying a helo to sit on supply sources and putting the entire front out of supply. It was not accidently as a check of the entire length of the far edge with my helos only showed two enemy units both sitting on supply sources. How convenient he was that lucky to find them both?

i think the helicopter units are probably the most problematic
units in the whole game series and you are completely right
to rant about them.
their ability to fly hundreds of miles on a single day and survive
contact with most enemy units, acting as long-range forward
observer for the airforce or supply depot raiders is a bit annoying.
have you ever tried editing their defence value and movement
points? attack helos pack quite a punch but their mobility and
survivability seems a bit exaggerated.
last but not least, you should consider not playing people who
want to win so bad that they pull dirty tricks.

Glenn-
Appears the supply hex rule must have been in place when you mastered NGP as I don't see it in the updates. What I was referencing is when you have a red unit either on or within one hex of a supply source, if Blue reinforcements arrive during the turn, then the red units is broken and moved back off of the supply hex.
I would have to go to S'41 updates to see if I can find the exact update rule.
As for the BTL, not much to look at except you have a red ground unit on one supply source and a t mode helo on the other.

Not much of a choice, it was a tourney game.

I am not so sure that the helicopters in the stock game have exaggerated movement, I was looking up cruise speeds for all the helicopters involved while researching NGP_Alt OOB and the stock values seem rather conservative to me.

RE: My rant - supply sources
on a mere cruise speed = movement points basis, you're
absolutely right. but helos in the Modern Campaign games
are free to operate for weeks way behind enemy lines,
with low ammo and fuel levels being the only punishment for it.
that's why i spoke of 'exaggerated mobility'.
i'm not saying anyone made a mistake with the helicopter unit
stats but i think Dave is right ranting about how helos can be
used to achieve unrealistic and annoying game effects. and
given all the great work a lot of people, especially you, volcano,
put into the games, this is a pity.
