Guidance requested: mapmaking

I am trying to create maps, but the manual doesn't seem to have what I need. I am trying to do a CM:AK map in Italy, but cannot set any default terrain but "dirt", "arid rocks" or "sand". Are there instructions anyplace online?

Those are all the tastes.... You probably need to use 'Dirt' which is actually 'normal ground'
