Good Rising Sun Scenarios for PBEM

Does anyone have any recommendations? It seems like most of the scenarios in RS, the island assult scenarios, with their large number of fixed units, would not be good choices for a PBEM scenario.

Are there any good RS Scenarios in particular anyone would recommend?

My friend has RS and I have RSG. That limited what we could play.

RS lacks long range tank battles. What I found after a while is that the choice of battles ends up being the same old island assaults or attack/defend strongholds. Got boring quickly.

With CS ME maybe things have changed.

Everything depends on your playing preferences.

Personnally I really like infantry battles and RS has really good ones. Just to name "Hurricane on Biak", "Battle for Shoestring", "Battling Bastards", "Agony on Agno"... just to name a few from the top of my head Big Grin

I agree with you Valor. I just wish I could find something a little different that my friend can get to work with RS.

With all the armies that are added with the mods, there must be some good ones out there.

Try "Trapped on Timor", created I think for the Rising Sun tourney we had recently. That is an absolute classic.

I just finished this RS scenario for the new Matrix edition.....

Matrix PBEM Scenario. While Chiang Kai-Shek had committed some of his best divisions to aid in the British defense of Burma, he hesitated in a serious push to help. It took the Japanese encirclement of the "walled" city of Toungoo before he would commit the newly formed 22nd Division to relieve the 200th Division and its defenders. As the Japanese 143rd Infantry Regiment advances into the city,the KMT 1st Tank Regiment swept over the captured Flying Tigers Airfield just North of the City. Historical liberties taken to enhance gameplay.

Its a re make of one of my older scenario's that Yossarian and I playtested a few times.......I wanted to try out the new IJA patrolboats that are included in the new Matrix software.

It also has a decent amount of armour for both sides....:smg:
