Burning Tiles
Burning corn, houses, ruins, grass - what are the rules concerning them? Can squads enter or they must sneak away?

RE: Burning Tiles
I've had my troops enter these burning areas before and it seems to have a negative effect on their morale. I try to avoid these when ever possible. Nothing good can usually come from entering these areas.

RE: Burning Tiles
There are actally two types of fires...small and big. You can enter a building with a small fire bit not a big one.

RE: Burning Tiles
In my last game, I positioned a Hetzer on overwatch next to a burning 2-story light building. With no incoming ordinance, the crew abandoned the tank at the end of the next turn. I looked high and low for any incoming fire of any sort and there was none.

RE: Burning Tiles
Peiper - "For a long time I commanded III./Panzergrenadierregiment 2 of the Leibstandarte. This unit had made quite a name for its night attacks in Russia...
In action our armoured personnel carriers were in the habit of going into the attack at full speed and with all guns blazing. As the Russian houses mostly had thatched roofs, it was inevitable that they would catch fire during the battle.."
