SAW Question: Radio set-up

I'm in a PBEM game and I find that many of my commanders have radios. How do I set them up? Or if they can't be set up what role do they play in the game?

Radios only function to call in off-map support (artillery and airstrikes). If you have no support, the radios have no function. Setup radios deliver more accurate support as long as they are not moved. This status is detemined by the scenario designer and can not be obtained during the course of the game. Hope this helps a bit.
