Normal fire during the day is - well - normal
Night turns are four hours not too, so normal fire at night is effectively halved. Same value in twice the time period.

The time frame is irrelevant in this discussion, a turn is a turn is my point whether or not it is day or night. The only difference is the visibility and at night fatigue is increased, which based on your comment, it is not really increased because the turn is twice as long.:P

Well, that is where you differ with the guy who wrote the program.

A Turn in Day is 3 hours
A Turn in Night is 6 hours

Fire remains constant on a game turn, so mathimatically, the fire is halved at night because an equal amount of fire is applied in twice the time.

You may not like that answer, but not the less that is the answer and it has nothing to do with you point about the number of previous games.
