The major flaws in the Napoleonic series, often mentioned here, like the overly powerful offense, can be rectified by importing some, and why not all, of the features of the PzC series, but for some reason, Mr. Tiller will not take the time to program the Napoleonic series properly. The biggest problem is that units may advance their full movement allowance and then melee into a hex. This means that an infantry unit may move 1000 yards on a road, through withering enemy artillery and musket fire, in the presence of massed cavalry, and then without missing a beat, assault into any hex, all in a 15 minute pulse. It's a joke. The Napoleonic series is tilted badly in favor of the offense and John won't do a thing about it, even though the programming gruntwork is already done for PzC. The answer to the problem is already a function of PzC: We can't assault into a hex without the requisite movement points. Why this isn't already imported into the Napoleonic series is beyond my comprehension. The programming is there. What's teh problem? Why the delay? von ege
