Sharpnel sound effects
Does anyone know if there is anyway to turn off the shrapnel sound effects in MBT? You know, the round hits and it says "T72 hit by shrapnel, no effect". All this seems to do is slow the hell out of a game during the arty phase. PING, PING, PING....yeah I get the idea. It is ok if a vehicle is destroyed, but other then that what purpose does it serve?

So, anyone know?

It also lets you know if your OPP has any armor near the spot where your shells landed :)

Does it show on the firing side also? I also wish there was a way to turn it off :) I would imagine artillery hitting a target 10 miles away would be like a tree falling in the forest. You would hear the explosions but not the actual armor being hit.

RE: Sharpnel sound effects
Hi
I know of no way to turn it off.
It is annoying but as randy pointed out, it can be useful as recon by fire.

Hmm, recon by fire.. or perhaps deception by fire.. scatter a bunch of Dingo's all over and rename them 'Centurion'..

If you're playing solo, you can select Fast Artillery "on": but I agree - in PBEM it's a pain.

Time to go out and make that cup of tea??
