I'm not sure who all those guys are, but I think some of them played combined arms scenarios that they hadn't seen in advance, so I don't know if the comparison holds up.

Heavy metal wins wars -

"Our infantry clog up the roads for the panzers....Once armoured formations are out on the loose they must be given the green light to the very end of the road.....If the tank succeeds, the victory follows" - Guderian

"Concentrate strength at one point, force a breakthrough, roll up the flanks, penetrating like lightning deep into the rear before the enemy has time to react" - Rommel

"That's what I need! That's what I want to have!" (Hitler at Kummersdorf tank demonstration 1933)

"The more tanks you use, the fewer you lose" -Col Cyril Joly

"The English attack at Cambrai for the first time revealed the possibilities of a great surprise attack with tanks" - von Hindenburg

Hitler (travelling in staff car with Guderian in Poland after surrender and seeing devastation) -"Our dive-bombers did that?"
Guderian - "No, our tanks"

In other words, if you want to do rock n' roll with fireball-spewing monsters, you need TANKS.. :)

Umm...I forget. How'd the war end up for Hitler, Rommel, and Guderian?

RESULT JUST IN - Der Kuenstler beats POS

The endgame shot showing the absolute carnage, 11/11 of my armour lies dead for the loss of only 4/11 of DK's..
The buckled and tortured front lines attest to the vicious power struggle that raged, my infantry platoon at the top flag is completely surrounded, pocketed and cut off..
I fought to the last last tank but it was just one of those games we all have from time to time where nothing seemed to go right for me, plus of course DK kept up the relentless pressure giving me no time to gain the initiative..

Results so far in the order the games finished -

Game 1 - POS(Brits) bt Bootie
Game 2 - POS(Brits) bt Vinroc
Game 3 - POS(Brits) bt Sphinx
Game 4 - POS(Gers) bt The Grand Poohbah
Game 5- Der Kuenstler bt POS(Brits) 68-32 (margin 36)

Game 6 - ongoing v Bert Blitzkrieg
Game 7 - ongoing v Panzer Dan
Game 8 - ongoing v Easymeat
Game 9 - ongoing v Mugger
Game 10 - ongoing v Herroberst

Der Kuenstler therefore has a firm grasp on the hallowed tank paperweight prize, and it can only be torn from his grasp if one of the remaining 5 competitors can beat me by a higher margin..

Yes indeed, so please don't do it. There's no reason that you should determine your own standard of behaviour by reference to someone else.

Spouting hot air, that everyone knows is hot air, about oneself is one thing, directing personal criticism at another person is another. Let's all be very careful, ok?

Thanks in advance, to all concerned :)

Yeah everybody - let's stop this bickering and get back to the subject of my stunning and brilliant victory - lol...

I do want to thank POS for his screenshots, pics, and making this challenge - it's been fun and helped add some life to the MB. And I already have a spot cleared off on my desk for that metal tank - so go POS! You can do it! Remember everything I've taught you! he he

RESULT JUST IN!

POS(Brits) bt Mugger

I managed to hold off his German attack on the village, but he destroyed my Sherman platoon at the bottom and galloped through to the flag. (He's a real-life rodeo rider, 'galloped', gettit?)

I find it amusing that the thread has evolved into it's current state, but why am I not surprised it has?

This anti-POS trolling game is going to end rather abruptly if it continues to reappear in every thread this member makes. POS has just as much right to post here as any Blitz Member.

I find these queries about his playing styles to be inconsiderate and unbecoming of Blitz members, lest you forget out mission here :
Mission: To help the rookies, connect the regulars and honor the hardcore!

Allow me to refresh everyone:
There is NO rule here that anyone cannot play what they want and against whomever accepts their challenge, nor is it written that challenges must be accepted by anyone. I see complaints about POS's settings yet these same complainers are just as much guilty in their reluctance to accept his challenge, as much as he was to refuse theirs.

Move on and find opponents you can play and post about your experiences rather than continue to troll this member for what you feel is an unethical gaming style. People here can make their own minds up without the need for constant news flashes on the subject.

I don't see ANYONE else offering to tackle 10+ games and post about each one of them.

Honor the Hardcore.. in spite of all his faults, POS is certainly walking the walk right now.
