Mortar Carriers

Can motorized mortar carriers (such as half tracks) use an officer for targeting like the infantry mortars can?

Hi,

If the carrier with mortar is under officer's control, there is no problem. The mortar can shot on all the areas where the officer has got a LOS.
That permit to hide it althought it can shoot.

but this is not true with self-propelled arty like Hummel, Grille, Wespe...

No worries, Tanker doesn't need the information anymore... I blew the crap out of his widdle mortar carrier.

Perhaps his new question is, can my tanks fire through the enormous billowing cloud of smoke and fire where my mortar carrier used to be?

The answer is: no. You cannot.
