Sewer Movement

Sewer Movement
I've just started a QB where there is sewer movement between heavy buildings and connected by pavement. Just checking it, the sewer movement would take 7 minutes to go around 45m. I was surprised that it would take so long...

Has anyone used sewer movement during a QB? Was it successful?

RE: Sewer Movement
According to the BFC devs it wasn't worth the development time. But the betatesters(?) were pushing for it. Probably a leftover of an ASL-rule. Could be fun sometimes in large city scenarios.

RE: Sewer Movement
I built a demo once to experiment with & it is very much like the old Squad Leader rule....units go into the sewer & where / when they come out is unknown. Sometimes they come out where you sent them, sometimes they come out somewhere else, sometimes you never see them again.

RE: Sewer Movement
That sounds like two good reasons to avoid using the sewers :)

RE: Sewer Movement
Never used it. But I can forsee some city fights in which it would be very useful.....and I can think of some past occasions in which I would have benefited from giving it a go.

I suspect it would be of most use in getting a few metres through an interior wall between heavy buildings in a city block, where your boys trying to u se the road are getting shot down.

RE: Sewer Movement
I'm playing two "To the Volga"...
Wondering if i might start using it to protect what squads i have left
I tried using Smoke rather then Arty on both Battles,
Worked in one,not the other...
So now i wonder if Sewer Movement might not be smart?
Any thoughts from anyone?
