Budapest Strangeness
I was checking into the Budapest scenario 'Encirclement' and saw that there were no Soviet units on the map. Upon further examination, I noted that there were no forces listed in the Soviet OOB.

This was the same for the _Alt version.

Has anyone else had this problem?

If anyone has this situation with the full OOBs, could they please send me a copy?

Hey Leibchen,

Do you have a full file name, or scenario name, for that one? I just went through all the scenarios on my system and nothing with Encirclement in it there. I don't have the VM pack installed, not sure where your file came from if it isn't one that I have, but a full name will help with it.

RE: Budapest Strangeness
Sure. They are:

#041127_01_Encirclement.scn

and

#041127_01_Encirclement_Alt.scn

The description reads as follows:

Quote:On 27 Nov 44 the Russians launced a multi-pronged attack which ultimately resulted in the encirclement of Budapest. The 3rd Uk Front sent the 4th Gds and 46th Armies into the area between Balaton and the Danube Bend, while 2nd Uk Front sent the 6th Tank Army and Pliyev Groups trusting into the mountains North of the bend. By 26 Dec 44 the gap between the fronts had closed and within the encirclement, lay Budapest, about 80,000 troops and several hundred thousand civilians.

The Axis troops are all there (I guess, anyway), just no Soviets.

Yes, delete that those scenarios. I think the scenario was mistaken added to the disc and I mistakenly converted it. Eek

Too bad. It sounded like a cool scenario.

I hope that HPS release that scenario into the next Budapest patch...
it seems to be a very interesting scenario
