This week I have a CMAK map ready for a QB. This map size is about what the average QB generator would give to handle 1500 to 2500 points and is 1520m x 1440m. The map has four dominant hills overlooking the vineyards of a nearby village. It is setup at the moment to play an ATT/DEF game with 5 large flags. Cover is light but the hills could provide some concealment. Again, it is a pregenerated map that has been majorly rebuilt over a couple hours to what it is now.
Thanks for the comments and interest in the maps. It keeps a person inspired to make more. I will get the maps out to you as soon as I get back home tonight. Any feedback on them as they get played would be appreciated as well. I think that I will clean up some of my online storage and make some links, so that i do not have to manually ship them out each time.
Just finishing a game on this map as the attacker. The defending side has some good long range LOS early in the game to engage your armour and infantry. It took me a while but after I weathered the storm was able to advance the length of the map in about 35+ turns under some heavy fire. This map is not for the timid, as as the attacker you have limited covered routes to the flags. As the defender, you will start out with the advantage in cover but it becomes obvious where your forces are and then the lack of covered withdrawl routes gives your side just as much trouble as the attacking side. I would hesitate to say if there is a clear-cut advantage to one side or the other as the momentum of the fight seems to sway from the defender to the attacker. Overall, a decent map to play a game on, I would not hesitate to play another battle on this map as the defending side, this time.
