Old inactive member looking for game, Matrix 1.03

Been a long time since I played CS, my last reported game was in 2004. Picked up the matrix versions and am patched to 1.03 and am looking for a game. Something 4 or under for complexity in EF or WF side doesn't matter. I will be rusty but am looking forward to playing again.

I'm good for 2 turns per week, sometimes a little faster if real life allows. Only time for one game so first reply will be the only one I'll take. Would like to start asap but want to let you know in advance that I will be gone this week Thursday through Sunday so will probably only get in a turn or so before leaving. After that shouldn't be too much holding me back.

You may want to hold off starting a 1.03 until things settle down. Your call, I know you're anxious to get back into it. Since you're taking a long weekend off too.

Yeah, I've been following the posts here and at the Matrix boards. Seems to me the real issue\bug is the non-combat vehicles and lone leaders not being over run when assaulted. As for the rest I think until players actually play a good number of scenarios we won't really have a good idea of how bad\good things are.

There's a very vocal few (and perhaps a larger silent group not posting) really complaining about the new changes, and who knows maybe they are right? There are also some vets here and some players posting at Matrix that seem to like the new rules minus of course the "truck bug".

So, I figure there isn't anything to lose playing a game and having a look for myself. Been long enough since I've played I may not even notice a difference:) Either way I get back in the swing of doing pbem and get back on the active list.

Yes, it has been awhile. A game with an old opponent sounds great to me.

How about West Front "In Trouble Again"? Fairly small and looks to be balanced by the scenario stat page. Should be a good one for me to get a feel for playing again without having to command an entire army:)
