It would appear that the Germans ideally should have either 3 players or 3 army players plus one C-in-C.

The Russians could do 4 players or 4 army players + 1 C-in-C.

One more recommendation.

The stronger/more experienced players should play the Germans. Even though the Germans will eventually get about 10 more divisions (including 3 SS divisions) than the stock campaign this still is NOT an easy game for the Germans. In fact, it is downright difficult. The German player should be prepared to see whole corps evaporate (which should be avoided if at all possible if they expect to have any chance at winning).

P.S. I am on turn 82 of 149 of this campaign as the Germans. I am holding on but it has been extremely difficult. My opponent is bashing my forces relentlessly. Casualties are 165,000 for the Germans and 115,000 for the Russians.
