Tank Graveyard At Minsk
Hi just looked at this one ,its the most played and its a 50/50 win rate on the scenerio data base,so i opened it up to have a look ,very nice map, seems like its pretty much even, anyone care to share any overall starting stradegy they use here,i find it very strange that after over 400 games its 50/50.Im thinking if it had more turns that this ratio would change in favour of a very detailed planning general,im only suggesting that 18 turns doesnt leave alot of room for any great manouver planning,i would be very intrested to see this same scenerio played 400 times by you guys with say30 turns, lol.Any thoughts?

RE: Tank Graveyard At Minsk
Spoiler alert.....

I always use the same strategy on this one. There is high, broken ground to your right flank. if you create an infantry screen and move with the vast bulk of your forces to this high ground you can then attack down onto the main road which the German Heavy Panzers prefer. It also means the line of fire is shortened favouring the Russians who need to close in and fight in mass. You also have to be patient and make sure all your forces are in place before launching the assault.

Would be interested in hearing other strategies for this one.

Into the 3rd turn and no real action yet,i cant realy say what im doing but will when its over, however i will say the heavy german panzers do need the rail to move effectively, and i dare them to try and use them.Big Grin
